My first Christmas card of 2021

Hello, I’ve been thinking recently of starting to get my Christmas cards started especially as we are at the end of April, I mean whoa!! 😱😳 I think this year is going by soooo quickly!! So today I made a really quick card. Read on for more details….

I have used a green scalloped card base measuring 5” x 7”. The candy cane background is digital papers from Polka Dot Orchard which I printed onto photographic card. The adorable sock monkey, sentiment and stocking is also from Polka Dot Orchard. I printed them onto papermill direct smooth gsm white card.

I used my Promarkers to colour sock monkey and stocking.

  • Walnut
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Raw Sienna
  • Cardinal Red
  • Berry Red
  • Ice Grey 5,4,3,2,1
  • Blender Pen

I used glue pen to apply glitter to stocking and hat then sprinkled Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter. Added some Christmas green ribbon, added foam tape to sentiment, sock monkey, stocking and embellishments. Here is my finished card.

I am adding this card into the Spring into Christmas Hop over at Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers. I’d love to see what Christmas makes you have started on.

Stay safe, thanks for joining me and happy crafting

I printed off the red and white splodge background paper onto Gloss Photo Paper and trimmed down to size. I used Spellbinders Borderabilities – Curved Borders Two Set to finish my edging along card front. Adhered all together with double sided tape. Fussy cut the sentiment and adhered using foam tape.

Sock Monkey Christmas cards-how cute-holiday hop

Hi friends and thanks for stopping by! Today I’m sharing a card made with those adorable sock monkeys from the digital stamp set Monkey Mail from Polka Dot Orchard

It’s Christmas in July and I have made my first Christmas card for this season. I printed off my images in Neenah Solar Crest Card Stock. I have coloured in with my Promarkers. Coloured in with colours ~

  • Cocoa
  • Cinnamon
  • Caramel
  • Ruby
  • Cardinal Red
  • Lipstick Red
  • Blender Pen

Added Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter Diamond to the stocking and Christmas hats using a glue pen.

Aren’t these monkeys just oh so cute!!! To make my card I used green cardstock measuring 8.5”x7” and scored at 3.5” along the 7” side.

I used the slimline die set ‘Film Set Slim’ from Mama Elephant and cut green glitter paper and white card on my Big Shot using the frame dies from the Film City Slim set. Layered them using double sided tape. Got some of my clear photopolymer snowflakes stamps out from my stash.

Once I diecut the frame that looks like postage stamp border I used my Woodware Magic Anti Static Bag all over the white card then chose my snowflakes stamps that I wanted to use then stamped them using a clear acrylic block and VersaMark watermark pad then used Wow! Embossing Powder in Golden Flame.

I adhered foam tape to the back of the monkeys and sentiment and attached to the card front.

I am linking this card onto the Build Your Stash Holiday Hop this hop runs until 1st August and there are 5 super sponsors
