Birthday card featuring New Love stencil and Note to Self Stamp from Polka Dot Orchard

My card for today is made using the recent releases from Polka Dot Orchard The stencil With Love (square stencil) and stamp set Note To Self both pictured above.

Hi friends, what wet weather we are experiencing just now, it’s definitely perfect for spending time in our craft rooms. Today I have made a card using the Tone on Tone Technique with Stencil.

I printed off the stamp and sentiment onto Neenah Solar Crest Card and coloured in with Spectrum Noir Illustrators. Pens used, Black, Poppy, Coral, Deep Coral, Mimosa, Begonia, Tea Rose, Rose Blush, Cream, Emerald, Meadow, Brown Grey, 6,2 Blender Pen.

After colouring I fussy cut around the image and cut the sentiment out using my guillotine.

For my background, I used the With Love Stencil which was designed by Angie Blom. I got out my Altenew Crisp Dye Ink in Razzleberry, Rubellite & Pink Diamond. I wanted to use the Tone on Tone Technique where I first create an ombré effect with my 3 colours, starting with the darkest to the lightest. Once I had finished this I then positioned my stencil in place with low tack masking tape then once again using my blender brushes I went over my background with the same colours following their blending and that creates the tone on tone effect.

Once dry I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen to some of the stencilled love hearts. Layered onto black card then onto my card base. Attached foam tape to my image and sentiment. Added some sequins to finish my card.

Loved colouring her in. This set is perfect for many occasions. Click on the links at top of my blog to take you direct to the stamp and stencil.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I would love to hear your comments.

Keep safe my friends and happy crafting

Coffee Because Mornings are BREW-TAL

Hi friends, today I’m sharing a quick card made for all the coffee lovers out there (me included) with a fantastic digital set from Angie Blom Digital Designs called Brew-tiful Day

I matched this set up with the Tea/Coffee digital papers from Angie Blom Digital Designs I printed off my chosen papers on HP Glossy Photo Paper, chose the digital stamp with 4 printables on it and then trimmed my chosen stamp down to size. I’m making a 6”x6” card.

Coloured in with my Promarkers. I used Walnut, Henna, Umber, Spice, Peach, Soft Peach and Coral. I matted my card front onto marbled peach card stock.

Spectrum Noir Metallic Gold Nugget for added dot embellishments and some rose gold sequins to finish.

Adhered my card front with 3D foam tape for extra dimension.

That’s all for today, I hope this inspires you to make some well deserved caffeine related projects.

May the caffeine kick in before reality does|gnome talkie before coffee

Hi friends and happy Friday. I have created another masculine birthday card using this cute and adorable set from Polka Dot Orchard This set comes with 5 sentiments and I have used 2 of them for this card.

Click here to take you to the set ➡️ Gnome Talkie Before Coffee This set is Illustrated by Crystal O. Minkler

To make my card I printed off the gnome and the 2 sentiments onto Neenah Crest Solar White Cardstock. The Mug image is blank and I used my photo editing app to insert the sentiment into the mug.

I then coloured in the gnome and mug using my Promarkers. (I don’t have a list of pens used as I put them away before I remembered to take a note, If you want an idea what I used send me a message and I’ll do my best to get the correct colours for you). I then fussy cut the gnome and mug and adhered foam tape to the back.

I love this set, the sentiments that I chose for this card are perfect for our current worldwide situations and I have turned this into a cute and humorous card ✨

I cut out the other sentiment ‘gnome talkie before Coffee’ using a rectangle diecut and manual diecutting machine. Coloured in the sentiment as I didn’t want to leave it white and adhered a background card in black. I used the coffee papers background and layered it onto black card using double sided tape. Adhered this to a C5 card base and finished my card off with sequins.

Here is my completed card 😀 I hope you like it and it gives you some great ideas. Thanks for stopping by.

Bye for now
